irc may be old and clunky but at least it can't get acquired by salesforce

Attempting to 3D print a duplo rail to see if I can expand my daughter's train set ... so far, so good. And she'll like having pink rails :-)

Amazon driver dropped off a package, then stood in front of my house to smoke for ~10 minutes. That was new ...

Slackbot alerting me on the desktop to download the desktop app for a better experience is peak irony.

No, smart guy, people don't search out and use privacy focused tech because they're "allergic to good tools." We do it for many reasons, mostly, however, because their are great privacy-focused tools for which we, as humans, dont have to be the rae material.

Ugh. Tech

Made the mistake of searching blindly for something on Tor again. I love the anonymity and structure of the system. I loathe the kind of crap it attracts.

2020 sucks

Just took a two hour break to attend a funeral. Not high on my list of "enjoyable things." Made even worse by the fact that we all had to wear masks and stand at a distance and couldn't comfort one another.

2020 sucks.

After sending details to one person via DM ... I need a more succinct way to communicate things :-(

So if anyone else wants to participate ... shoot me an email instead. eric[at]eamann[dot]com. That'll save me sending a DM thread.

The toddler wanted to make Christmas cookies today.

Have I ever mentioned how much I loathe cookie cutters? But she gets what she wants...

Last mile logistics are where markets thrived, but now the distribution path is reversed. The market is ripe for a first class "touchless" grocer. Not just an add on, but a from-the-ground-up model.

The sign said ENERGY IS A FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT.
The robot carried it up and down the square for five months, only pausing when their friends brought replacement batteries.
When their campaign won, and robots were given right to energy, they continued, with a new sign.

Haven't heard this one before but it's pretty good.

Just learned I was one of the lucky 4% of folks who fully completed the challenge put on by dotTechDomains.

Means I have a less-than-abysmal chance at winning the overpowered gaming computer at the end of the challenge.

According to Spotify, my top song for 2020 was Twinkle Twinkle Little Star by Goofy.

Maybe I should find a way to differentiate my music from what I play to entertain my daughter ...

Day two of not being on and I find myself _almost_ going back to it several times a day.

It's remarkable to realize just how much time I spent scrolling through that feed ...

Catch up on my series on password cracking before I wrap things up next week. Today's post covers setting up a Hashtopolis server to spread your Hashcat cracking runs across several different machines:

The last day of November begins my month long experiment of abstaining from viewing or interacting with . My blog will still auto-post some stuff, but aside from that I'll be ignoring it and focusing my attention over here.

Wish me luck 🙂
